Before he started, Charlotte and Claire took the time in an evening to come and visit him at home and spend some time getting to know us and our son, reading with him and playing with his toys. This was such a lovely thing for them to do as we were moving him from a preschool where he was settled to a completely new place. Since he arrived the preschool has been very encouraging and helping our son come out of his shell. He always comes home happy and he especially loves Forest school and the allotments which he talks about a lot.

My son Jack has been attending the pre-school since September 2022, and my daughter Bella attended until she started school. We love the preschool! The staff are fantastic - extremely professional and caring and I know Jack is not only safe and happy but learning so much. Jack has developed immensely in terms of speech and language and awareness. The focus on nature and development is a strong positive.

We are so proud to send our daughter to Hanborough Pre School. We really feel she is treated as an individual and have been really impressed with communication. Recently the pre school have accommodated an out of hours parents evening for our two year old, so that we could both attend. The care, commitment and attention they show is fantastic and we feel that our daughter is really developing and thriving from her time at pre school.

Our daughter attends Hanborough Pre-School and we have been thoroughly impressed by the level of care and kindness shown towards Etta and the knowledge and enthusiasm from staff towards maximising her early years. Etta adores the staff and we can tell she feels safe and secure there.  My husband and I trust the staff implicitly and Etta asks to go to play at Pre-School everyday!! We particularly like the communication between staff and parents informing us of the topic of the term, books of the week and activities we can do at home to enrich her learning experience. Despite being one of the younger children, Etta is thriving and we are so grateful to the Pre-School.

We have been so impressed by Hanborough Preschool. They build excellent relationships with the children and parents. Each term we have an overview of learning and then weekly updates including advice on how to support our child at home. They have lots of visitors (fire, police, doctors, animals etc) and they do little trips out frequently too. One week they wrote notes and walked to the postbox to post them. Matty was delighted to receive his mail and suddenly understood how the post service worked. They really do make the most of all learning opportunities.

I am the mother of twin boys aged 4 at Hanborough Pre-School, and they attend 1.5 days a week. I couldn't be happier with what they do there, and only wish there were space for them to be in more. I seldom hear a child cry in the setting - how unusual is this?! Every effort is made to ensure that children settle quickly, including a very useful home visit from the staff - this made all the difference to one of my boys. It is also excellent from the point of view of alerting staff to possible safeguarding concerns about home environments. At preschool, they do an excellent variety of creative, educational and physical activities, and come home very happy and stimulated. Claire seems to do a very good job of leading her staff, and always has a listening ear for any concerns.

Our daughter started pre-school back in September and we have been thrilled with Hanborough pre school. We were pleasantly surprised that they came and did a home visit and wanted to find out lots of information about Sloane before her first day. Sloane adores all the staff members who are all beyond lovely and greet her every morning with lots of smiles and positivity. She loves all the different activities that are on offer every morning as does her baby sister who I quiet often have to carry out kicking and screaming as she doesn’t want to leave!. The staff are extremely approachable and always go above and beyond for the parents and children. The pre-school put lots of events on for parents to come to which is lovely as we adore coming to pre-school and seeing what Sloane has been up to.
